The St. Croix River is dam controlled and is 33 miles long to the Grand Falls takeout. It offers a good variety of rapids and flatwater, good salmon and bass fishing and perhaps a moose, deer or eagle along the way.
There are plenty of campsites along the river and a few access roads making one, two or three day trips possible. A good one-day trip is to Scott's Brook, two-day trip is to Loon Bay and a three or more day trip is to Grand Falls.
